the next batch

this is the bit i really like, getting the demos through for the next three wiaiwya-7777777 releases... over the last couple of days i've had 2 brand new new Shrag songs, and 2 exclusive Allo Darlin songs... all four of them fantastic, and being recorded for real in the next couple of weeks... Nick also says the Eux Autres recordings are coming along, and i've seen some photos, which is enough to whet the appetite

so, now is as good a time as any to remind you that the next three wiaiwya-7777777 bands have already released three of the best albums of 2012 - Allo Darlin's Europe, Eux Autres' Sun Is Sunk & Shrag's Canines, so, if you haven't already, subscribe above to be the first to hear all of their new recordeings:

sounds xp review

those nice chaps at sounds xp have reviewed the WAVE PICTURES and the WEREWANDAS singles

soundsxp wiaiwya-7777777 singles review

"the Wave Pictures at their most winsome. ‘Salt’ is bitter like dark chocolate, with an intense flavour highlighted by intricate picking"

"The Werewandas... is a joyous mess of surf guitar and sounds like Wanda Jackson singing the Batman theme"

bandcamp, downloads, and individual singles

yup, the debut Werewandas single is out today, Tuesday 7th Feb 2012, either digitally, or on glorious violet vinyl... an ideal present for your loved one, or indeed ANYONE... subscriptions are of course still available, just click on the BUY NOW link up at the top of the page... splendid...

the Werewandas are a five pieve combo of Fujiyama Mamas and Papas who gleefully massacre rock and roll standards as well as their own original western bop confections, withing they were Gene Vincent and the Blue Caps and ending up as a lo-fi, garage pop Everley Sisters. Predictably the Werewandas also love Wanda Jackson

seven sevens are forty nine

during 2012 there will be a whole lot of SEVEN SEVENS ARE FORTY NINE club nights cropping up... let me know if you'd like to organise your own, and we'll promote it from the blog
