release Date - Whoa Melodic

Whoa Melodic is the latest musical moniker for Michael Wood, who releases his first single today (“Hey Hey My Reflection / Goodbye Good Luck And See You”). If you like timeless, gentle, breezily melancholy folk pop, along the lines of Badly Drawn Boy, the Lilac Time, M Craft or even Squeeze this will be right up your street. Of course you’ll recognise Michael from Adekola Sound, the Hayman Kupa Band, Singing Adams, and helping make the Leaf Library such a great live act.

special wiaiwya-7777777 show in London

https://www.wegottickets.com/event/360088

yessiree - three of this year's seven 7777777 acts are sharing a stage in London on Thursday 11th August - you can get tickets here, the order is to be decided on the night, and the bands are:

Citizen Helene -Sultry disco-botherer Citizen Helene releases her new single, ‘How Can You Find Someone To Love / Bridges’, on 7th June on wiaiwya records. Since moving from the Jurassic Coast in Dorset to London in 2004, Helene has been spotted as an onstage collaborator with Mary Epworth and regularly appears as part of Papernut Cambridge, whose members Ian Button (ex of Death in Vegas), Robert Halcrow (Picturebox), Jack Hayter (ex of Hefner), Emma Winston (Deerful) and Pam Berry (ex Black Tambourine), have all become part of Helene's touring band.

Deerful - Deerful is Emma Winston. Emma is a multi-instrumentalist and singer who, after several years spent as a keyboard player and vocalist for musicians including Darren Hayman, Owl & Mouse and Enderby’s Room, decided to indulge her love for synthesisers and storytelling and begin making music of her own. She writes and performs electronic pop about running away, staying in place, brokenness, recovery, and taking up space in the world.

Whoa Melodic - is Michael Wood, the artist previously known as Michaelmas (too soon), who is debuting the new name/ band/ songs (although there may well be some old favourites). Michael is officially one of the top three most charming men in rock, and has recently been seen in the Leaf Library, the Hayman Kupa Band, and fronting an all star band at last year's A Girl and a Gun James Bond tribute at the Union Chapel
